Saudi-Iran Relations: Shifts in Diplomatic Approaches
On 17th April 2024, Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman, visited Tehran, delivering a letter from King Salman to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
- This visit marked the first by a Saudi Defence Minister to Iran in 26 years. The visit took place amidst American-Iranian negotiations towards a nuclear deal, a move welcomed by Saudi Arabia.
