India-Australia ECTA Completes Four Years
On 2nd April 2026, the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA) completed four years, marking a major milestone in strengthening bilateral trade, enhancing market access, and deepening economic ties between India and Australia.
What Happened?
- India-Australia ECTA completed four years since its signing in 2022.
- Bilateral trade reached USD 24.1 billion in 2024-25.
- India’s exports to Australia more than doubled in four years.
- From January 2026, all Indian exports enjoy zero-duty access in Australia.

- India’s exports grew from USD 4 billion (2020-21) to USD 8.5 billion (2024-25).
