India-Republic of Korea: Joint Strategic Vision for Special Strategic Partnership
On 20th April 2026, India and the Republic of Korea (ROK) adopted a comprehensive “Joint Strategic Vision for India-ROK Special Strategic Partnership” during the State Visit of President Lee Jae Myung to India, outlining an ambitious roadmap for cooperation across multiple sectors over the next five years.
Political and Strategic Cooperation
- Agreement to hold annual leader-level meetings.
- Shared vision of a free, open, and rules-based Indo-Pacific.
- ROK joined India’s Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI).
- Strengthened security dialogue through:
