‘Mukhya Mantri Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana’
- Recently, the Punjab government launched the “Mukhya Mantri Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana” to provide monthly financial assistance to women.
- Under the scheme, women from the general category will receive ₹1,000 per month, while women from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category will receive ₹1,500 per month.
- The scheme has been rolled out on a pilot basis across locations such as Adampur, Malout, Anandpur Sahib, Dirba, Sunam, Moga, Kotkapura, Batala, and Patiala (Rural).
- It targets women aged 18 years and above, particularly from economically weaker sections.
- The scheme will be implemented through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
