Remarkable Strides under SEED
On 18th April 2026, the Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic and Semi‑Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC) reported a landmark performance under the Scheme for Economic Empowerment of DNTs (SEED) during 2025-26.
What is SEED?
- Launched in February 2022 by Social Justice and Empowerment.
- The scheme provides support for:
- Educational Empowerment: By giving them financial assistance for free coaching, which will enable them getting admission in good institutes/employment in the public and private sectors.
- Health: Ayushman Cards are being distributed among DNT communities.
- Livelihoods: Self-Help Groups (SHGs) have been formed in DNT clusters to enable them to improve their economic condition, and
