Bharat Ratna 2024
The Government of India announced to confer Bharat Ratna – India’s highest civilian award to two stalwarts of Indian politics - Karpoori Thakur and Lal Krishna Advani.
Karpoori Thakur
- Socialist icon and former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur was posthumously conferred the Bharat Ratna in 2024.

Lal Krishna Advani
