Redefining Food Processing Sector through Startups
- 'World Food India' was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 03, 2023. The event was organized in New Delhi.
- The food and processing sector is known as the 'Sunrise Sector'.
- According to the Annual Report 2022-23 of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, the gross value added by food processing industries (at constant prices of 2011-12) increased from Rs 1.30 lakh crore in 2012-13 to Rs 12.237 lakh crore in 2020-21.
