India and Oman Fast-Track Negotiations for CEPA
- On 28th January 2025, India and Oman held expedited discussions to sign their Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), a major step towards enhancing bilateral trade and investment.
- Indian Minister co-chaired the 11th Session of the India-Oman Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) which focused on strengthening trade, investment, technology, food security, renewable energy, and other critical sectors.
- A protocol to amend the India-Oman DTAA was signed, aligning the agreement with international standards and simplifying tax procedures to encourage greater cooperation in cross-border taxation.
- Minister participated in the India-Oman Joint Business Council (JBC) meeting, which featured discussions on investment opportunities, and met with key Omani CEOs ....
