New Glenn Rocket Successfully Reaches Orbit
- On 16th January 2025, Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket successfully completed its first test flight, sending a prototype satellite into orbit.
- This milestone launch took place from Florida’s historic Complex 36, the same pad that launched NASA’s Mariner and Pioneer spacecraft decades ago.
- The 320-foot (98-meter) New Glenn rocket, developed with significant investment from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, carried an experimental platform designed to deploy satellites into orbit.
