International Conference on Democracy and Election Management 2026
From 21-23 January 2026, the International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM) 2026 was held in New Delhi, during which the Delhi Declaration 2026 was adopted.
- As the first and largest conference of its kind, it witnessed participation from 42 Election Management Bodies (EMBs) and heads of mission from 27 countries.
- It was organised by the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) under the aegis of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The Delhi Declaration
The core of the declaration is a commitment to collaborate on 5 strategic pillars:
