Kajra Solar Power Project
- In December 2025, the first phase of the Rs.2,800 crore Kajra Solar Power Project in Bihar was successfully commissioned.
- The project is being set up in Lakhisarai district by the Bihar Government to increase the share of clean and renewable energy in the state’s total power consumption.
- The project is being implemented by the state-owned Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited (BSPGCL).
- Under the first phase, a 185 MW solar power plant and a 254 MWh Battery Energy Storage System were completed at a cost of approximately Rs.1,810 crore.
