State’s First State-University-Level Braille Library
- On 4th January 2026, Uttar Pradesh’s first state-university-level Braille library was inaugurated at Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow.
- January 4th marks the birth anniversary of Louis Braille, inventor of the Braille system.
- The inauguration was carried out by Vice-Chancellor Acharya Sanjay Singh.
- The library houses around 4,000 Braille books.
- The entire first floor of the Vivekananda Central Library has been dedicated to the Braille library section.
