Submarines: Project 75 & Project 75(I)
Submarines underpin India’s maritime deterrence and sea denial under the SAGAR vision (Security and Growth for all in the Region). India is modernising its conventional fleet through Project-75 (six Kalvari-class submarines built at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited with technology transfer) and Project-75(I) to construct six AIP-equipped submarines in India under the Strategic Partnership model, aligned with Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision.
