Uttar Pradesh Ranks First in “De-regulation 1.0” Programme
- On 5th January 2026, Invest UP announced that Uttar Pradesh secured first place in the Government of India’s “De-regulation 1.0” programme.
- The programme aims to enhance Ease of Doing Business by simplifying regulations and fostering an investment-friendly environment.
- The Government of India identified 23 priority reform areas for states under this initiative.
- Rankings were based on implementation across five sectors: Land, Building & Construction, Labour, Utilities, and Permissions.
