National Capacity Building Framework for Garbage Free Cities
Recently, the National Capacity Building Framework for Garbage Free Cities (GFCs) has been launched.
- It has been launched under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 (SBM-U2.0) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. This will help in preparing the blueprint for capacity building, skill development and knowledge management initiatives of the states and urban bodies under SBM-U2.0.
Pillars
It emphasizes on the following three pillars based approach:
- Capacity Strengthening: Under this, the capacity of the state and municipal cadres will be strengthened. This would be done through human resource assessment and training, webinars, peer learning and e-learning.
