CA|TS Status to Six Tiger Reserves
- Six tiger reserves across the country have been accorded international Conservation Assured Tiger Standards (CA|TS)-approved status. Of the 53 tiger reserves in the country, 23 have now achieved the CA|TS.
- The six new tiger reserves in the CA|TS club include Tadoba-Andhari, Melghat, Navegaon-Nagzira in Maharashtra, Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh, Kali in Karnataka, and Periyar in Kerala.
- About CA|TS
- CA|TS is a set of criteria which allows tiger sites to check if their management will lead to successful tiger conservation. CA|TS is organised under seven pillars and 17 elements of critical management activity.
