Doha Political Declaration
From 5th to 9th March, 2023, the fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) was held at Qatar under the theme “From Potential to Prosperity”.
- The conference concluded with adoption of the ‘Doha Political Declaration’ by the world leaders.
- The declaration focuses on implementing the Doha Programme of Action (DPoA).
About Doha Programme of Action (DPoA)
- During the first part of the LDC5 conference held in New York, on 17th March, 2022, the United Nations had adopted the Doha Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) for the Decade 2022-2031.
