UNCTAD’s Technology and Innovation Report 2023
Recently, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) released the Technology and Innovation Report 2023.
- It highlights the opportunities that green innovation – goods and services with smaller carbon footprints – offer developing countries to spur economic growth and enhance technological capacities.
Key Findings
- A Significant Increase: The market for environmentally-friendly technologies would quadruple in value by 2030, reaching $2.1 trillion.
- Global Trade in 2023: Global trade will stagnate in the first half of 2023 but may get a boost in the second half of the year due to a weaker US dollar, stabilized shipping costs, and fewer supply chain ....
