Finland Boosts Defence Innovation through NATO's DIANA
North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO) Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) program recently expanded with the addition of Finland, aiming to enhance defence innovation and collaboration.
- The DIANA initiative board recently approved a proposal to set up an accelerator and two test centres in Finland, focusing on technology, innovation, and business development.
- The groundwork for this expansion began in spring 2023, led by Finland’s Ministry of Defence and the VTT Technical Research Centre.
- VTT, in partnership with Aalto University and the University of Helsinki, will establish a DIANA accelerator in Otaniemi, Espoo.
