Initiatives to Boost Local Economy by Increasing Income and Consumption
- For FY 2025-26, the government has set an ambitious revenue collection target of Rs. 42.70 trillion, reflecting an 11% increase from the previous year.
- The direct tax (income tax and corporate tax) collection target is set at Rs. 25.20 trillion.
- The indirect tax (GST, excise duty, and customs duty) collection target is set at Rs. 17.50 trillion.
