Surge Intellectual Property (IP) Filings
- Recently, World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) informed that India has experienced a significant surge in intellectual property (IP) filings over the past decade. Patent applications have more than doubled, trademark filings have increased 2.5 times, and design registrations have tripled.
- IP refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce.
