Udham Singh Nagar District Leads in Lakhpati Didi Yojana
- Udham Singh Nagar district has emerged as the most successful district in Uttarakhand in implementing the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, a key initiative under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY – NRLM).
- Of the 1,53,529 women across the state who have crossed the annual income threshold of one lakh rupees, 25,918 belong to this district alone.
- Haridwar follows, achieving 21,442 out of its 23,588 target.
- A Lakhpati Didi is a Self-Help Group member who earns an annual household income of Rupees One Lakh (Rs. 1,00,000) or more.
