Government Constitutes National Dental Commission
On 19th March 2026, in a major reform aimed at improving the quality of dental education and aligning it with global standards, the Centre notified the constitution of the National Dental Commission (NDC) under the National Dental Commission Act, 2023.
- With the National Dental Commission Act, 2023 coming into force, the Dentists Act, 1948, stands repealed, and the Dental Council of India dissolved.
