Micron Semiconductor ATMP Facility in Sanand
- Recently, Micron Technology began operations at its semiconductor Assembly, Test and Packaging (ATMP) facility in Sanand, Gujarat.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this facility on 28th February 2026. This is India’s first advanced memory ATMP facility.
- The plant shipped its first DRAM module to Dell Technologies.
- The facility includes a 500,000 sq ft raised-floor semiconductor clean room.
- It is the world’s largest single raised-floor clean room for semiconductor assembly.
- The clean room is classified as Class 1000 to control particle contamination.
- Air inside the clean room is circulated about 120 times per hour.
