Suraksha Sankalp Karyashala on HIV/AIDS (Society)
On 20th March 2026, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, through the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), convened the Suraksha Sankalp Karyashala in Delhi.
- The initiative aims to strengthen district-level HIV/AIDS response.
- It focused on Haryana and Delhi as priority regions.
- It emphasised data-driven and district-specific strategies.
- The programme aligns with global 95:95:95 HIV targets.
- Targets include diagnosis, treatment and viral suppression.
- Delhi shows gaps with around 70% treatment coverage.
- Haryana reported progress with 81:83:95 cascade.
- HIV prevalence is 0.33% in Delhi and 0.24% in Haryana.
