Tamil Nadu Women Entrepreneur Empowerment Scheme (TWEES)
- On 5th March 2026, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the Tamil Nadu Women Entrepreneur Empowerment Scheme (TWEES).
- The MSME Department designed the scheme to encourage one lakh women to become entrepreneurs within five years.
- The Chief Minister laid the foundation for three new Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) to be built at Rs.27 crore.
- Medical infrastructure across the State worth Rs.167 crore was also virtually inaugurated.
- Warehousing units with 60,000 MT capacity were announced at a total cost of Rs.78 crore.
- Fisheries infrastructure projects worth Rs.100 crore were inaugurated across multiple locations in Tamil Nadu.
