Recently, the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reported that AI/ML-based audits detected widespread fraud in states’ beneficiary schemes, saving public funds from misuse.
- The Constitution of India (Article 148) provides for an independent office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG).
