FIPIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting
On 24th September 2025, on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly, India’s External Affairs Minister chaired a meeting of the Forum for India–Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) Foreign Ministers.
- FIPIC is a multilateral initiative launched by India in 2014 during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Fiji.
- It brings together 14 Pacific Island nations: Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
