Key Economic Surveys

The Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation is all set to conduct two key economic surveys, All India Debt and Investment Survey (AIDIS) & Situation Assessment Survey (SAS) of Agricultural Households. Both AIDIS & SAS surveys are scheduled to be conducted from July 2026 to June 2027.

  • AIDIS is a periodic survey collecting data on household assets, liabilities, and capital formation in India.
  • It has conducted once every decade by NSO.
  • The survey provides essential data for national accounts, evaluating asset inequality, analyzing credit markets, and informing policy decisions by institutions like the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
