Mukhya Mantri Guru–Shishya Parampara Scheme
- Recently, the Department of Art, Culture and Youth, Government of Bihar extended the date for submitting applications under the Mukhya Mantri Guru–Shishya Parampara Scheme.
- Objective: To preserve Bihar’s rich cultural heritage and protect rare and endangered traditional folk and classical arts, such as folk tales, folk dances, folk music, traditional instruments, classical art forms, and paintings, while transmitting them to the younger generation.
- Funding: ₹1.11 crore.
- Under this scheme, two-year training will be provided in the selected art forms, with each participant required to attend at least 12 days per month.
