PM-SETU Scheme
On 4th October 2025, the Union government launched the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU), during Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh in New Delhi.
About PM-SETU
Aim
- To deliver outcome-based skilling, strengthen employability, and connect youth with global skill demands.
'Hub-and-Spoke' Model
- Under this, 1,000 government ITIs will be modernised in a 'hub-and-spoke' model.
- There will be 200 hub ITIs and 800 spoke ITIs.
- Hubs will host innovation centres, training for trainers, production units and placement services.
- Spoke ITIs will improve access in regions farther from hubs.
Finance
- Total investment of Rs. 60,000 crore with global co-financing support from ....
