Sorted Semen Facility in Bihar
On 15th September 2025, Prime Minister inaugurated Sex Sorted Semen Facility at Purnea, Bihar, under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM).
- Purnea Semen Station is one of the largest government semen stations and the first of its kind in Eastern and North-Eastern India.
- Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM) was launched in 2014 as part of the National Programme for Bovine Breeding & Dairy Development.
- Objective: To conserve and develop indigenous bovine breeds and enhance milk productivity.
