Ghasidas-Tamor Pingla Tiger Reserve
- Recently, the Chhattisgarh government cleared the pending project on creating new dedicated Tiger Reserve, which will be the third largest in the country.
- The new Tiger Reserve will come into existence by integrating the regions of Guru Ghasidas National Park and Tamor Pingla Sanctuary covering the districts of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Koriya, Surajpur and Balrampur.
- It is located within the northern part of the country, bordering Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand.
- This will be the fourth tiger reserve in Chhattisgarh after the Udanti-Sitanadi, Achanakmar, and Indravati Reserves.
- Currently, the Nagarjunasagar Srisailam Tiger Reserve in Andhra Pradesh is the largest in India, followed by the Manas Tiger Reserve ....
