One District One University Plan
- Recently, the UP government has launched an ambitious One District, One University plan.
- Uttar Pradesh has universities in all 18 divisions of the state, and the state government wants to establish a university in all 75 districts.
- Maharaja Suheldev University in Azamgarh, Raja Mahendradev University in Aligarh, and Maa Shakumbhari Devi University in Saharanpur have already become operational.
- Further, work is underway to establish Guru Jambeshwar University in Moradabad, Maa Pateshwari University in Devipatan Mandal, Maa Vindhyavasini University in Mirzapur, and the Mahatma Buddha Agriculture and Technology University in ....
