Vibrant Villages Programme
On 26th August 2025, Union Home Minister inaugurated a two-day workshop on the Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP) in New Delhi, organised by the Border Management Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
- Vibrant Villages Programme is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme implemented over the financial years 2022-23 to 2025-26.
- Objective: Comprehensive development of the 2,967 villages in 46 blocks in 19 districts abutting the northern border in the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, and UT of Ladakh.
