Zero Coupon Zero Principal Bond Declared Securities
On 16th July, 2022, the Finance Ministry declared Zero Coupon Zero Principal Instruments (ZCZP) as securities.
- The move came after the recommendations of a working group formed by the SEBI.
- In September2021, the SEBI board approved a framework for SSE through which ZCZP can be issued.
- The notification also declared the inclusion of ZCZP in the list of securities under Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956.
