New Advisory for Food and Health Sector Advertisements
On 3rd July, 2024, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB) issued a new advisory requiring advertisers and advertising agencies in the food and health sectors to upload an annual self-declaration certificate on designated platforms, superseding previous advisories and clarifying media responsibilities.
What is the Reason behind Advisory?
- Confidentiality and Lack of Clarity: Earlier, there were concerns about the confidentiality of information, as details about advertising campaigns need to be submitted in advance.
