Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry
- The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Food Processing Industry was approved by the Union Cabinet on 31st March, 2021.
- The scheme is to be implemented from the year 2021-22 to FY 2026-27 with an outlay of Rs. 10,900 crore.
- The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Food Processing Industry aims to generate employment for about 2.5 lakh persons.
- As per the quarterly review report of PLI beneficiaries till 30th December, 2023, employment has been provided to 2,37,335 persons.
