Draft RBI (Digital Banking Channels Authorisation) Directions, 2025
On 21st July 2025, in a significant stride towards fortifying India’s digital banking ecosystem, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released the Draft Digital Banking Channels Authorisation Directions, 2025. This regulatory overhaul aims to streamline and standardize digital banking operations.

- The provisions of these Directions shall apply to all banks authorised to operate in India (commercial banks and cooperative banks).
