e-National Agriculture Market (e-NAM)
On 9th July 2025, Union government announced the inclusion of seven new agricultural commodities on the e-NAM (National Agriculture Market) platform. This move is aimed at enhancing price realization, improving market access, and strengthening farmer welfare.
- The seven commodities include sugarcane, Marcha rice, Katarni rice, Jardalu mango, Shahi litchi, Magahi paan and Banarasi paan.
- With these additions, the total number of products listed on the e-NAM portal has risen to 238.
- E- NAM is a pan-India electronic trading portal launched on 14th April, 2016, completely funded by Central Government and implemented by Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC).
