First State to Lead the “Cruise India Mission”
- Recently, Gujarat became the first state to lead the “Cruise India Mission.”
- As part of the mission, Gujarat has proposed various potential cruise circuits along its western coast.
- These include key destinations like Diu, Veraval, Porbandar, Dwarka, Jamnagar, Okha, and the Padala Island, as well as the operational Ghogha-Hazira Ro-Pax service.
- The proposed routes under this mission are divided into three clusters:
- Padala Island–Rann of Kutch
- Porbandar–Veraval–Diu
- Dwarka–Okha–Jamnagar
- Cruise India Mission was launched on 30 September 2024.
