First State to Lead the “Cruise India Mission”

  • Recently, Gujarat became the first state to lead the “Cruise India Mission.”
  • As part of the mission, Gujarat has proposed various potential cruise circuits along its western coast.
  • These include key destinations like Diu, Veraval, Porbandar, Dwarka, Jamnagar, Okha, and the Padala Island, as well as the operational Ghogha-Hazira Ro-Pax service.
  • The proposed routes under this mission are divided into three clusters:
    1. Padala Island–Rann of Kutch
    2. Porbandar–Veraval–Diu
    3. Dwarka–Okha–Jamnagar
  • Cruise India Mission was launched on 30 September 2024.
