Frontiers 2025: The Weight of Time Report
On 10th July 2025, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) released its Frontiers 2025 report, ‘The Weight of Time: Facing New Age Challenges for People and Ecosystems’, warning that intensified river and coastal flooding could remobilise long-buried legacy toxic chemicals from sediments, threatening ecosystems and human health.
