JA-MATA Naval Exercise

  • On July 7, 2025, the Japan Coast Guard ship Itsukushima arrived at Chennai Port as part of its global maritime training voyage.
  • The training continued until July 12, 2025.
  • Included high-level bilateral meetings, professional and cultural exchanges, and a maritime drill to enhance interoperability between India and Japan.
