National Anti-Doping (Amendment) Bill, 2025

On 23rd July 2025, the National Anti-Doping (Amendment) Bill, 2025 was introduced in Lok Sabha to align India’s anti-doping framework with World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) requirements.

  • The Bill seeks to amend the National Anti-Doping Act, 2022.

Objective of the Amendment

  • To provide greater operational independence to the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), a key concern raised by WADA.
  • To make India’s anti-doping regime compliant with international standards and avoid suspension or non-recognition.
