National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC)

  • Submitted its Annual Report 2023–24 to President Droupadi Murmu on 8 July 2025.
  • It is a constitutional body established under Article 338 after the 89th Constitutional Amendment Act, 2003.
  • This amendment separated the earlier combined SC/ST Commission into two: NCSC (Article 338) and NCST (Article 338A).
  • Aim: To safeguard and promote the interests of Scheduled Castes and Anglo-Indians.
