3rd India-EU Trade and Technology Council Meeting
On 16th July 2026, India and the European Union agreed to deepen cooperation in strategic technologies, clean energy, trade, innovation and resilient supply chains during the 3rd India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) Ministerial Meeting.
Digital Technologies and Semiconductors
- Agreed to prepare a Joint Artificial Intelligence (AI) Roadmap.
- Will explore linking the EU Digital Identity Wallet with India's DigiLocker through pilot projects.
- Agreed to strengthen semiconductor cooperation under the India Semiconductor Mission and the EU Chips Act.
Research, Innovation and Clean Technologies
- Began formal negotiations for India's association with Horizon Europe, the EU's flagship research and innovation programme.
