In July 2026, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission has achieved a major milestone by linking over 104 crore health records with more than 93 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts.
What is ABHA?
Health ID
- 14-digit unique digital health ID under ABDM.
Objective
- Enables paperless, portable and consent-based health records.
Digital Health Records
- Stores and links health records across healthcare providers.
Consent-Based Access
- Records shared only with patient consent.
Interoperability
- Seamless access to records across hospitals and states.
Scan & Share
- QR-based OPD registration; reduces waiting time to 2–5 minutes.
Integrated Platform
- Connects patients, hospitals, labs, pharmacies and insurers.
