Odisha Govt. Signs MoC with ACME & IHI Corporation
On 3rd July 2026, the Government of Odisha signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with ACME Group and Japan's IHI Corporation to develop large-scale clean energy and industrial projects in the state.
- The proposed projects involve a cumulative investment ofRs.67,000 crore and are expected to generate employment for around 7,000 people.
- The collaboration aims to promote clean energy, advanced manufacturing, technology transfer, and sustainable industrial development.
- A 0.4 MTPA green ammonia project will be established at Gopalpur–Tata SEZ with an investment ofRs.20,000 crore, creating around 3,400 jobs.
