Jal Jeevan Mission
Recently, India achieved the milestone of 50 per cent of rural households having access to tap water connections under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
Jal Jeevan Mission
- Launched in August, 2019, the Mission is envisioned to provide safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections by 2024 to all households in rural India.
Objectives
- Planning of participatory rural water supply strategy for ensuring potable drinking water security on a long-term basis to every rural household and public institution.
- Creating water supply infrastructure so that every rural household has Functional Tap Connection (FHTC) ....
