Draft Tar-Balls Management Rules 2026
In April 2026, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) issued a draft notification introducing the Tar-Balls Management Rules, 2026, aimed at regulating the handling, storage, transport, and disposal of tar-ball waste arising from oil spills.
